RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia will resume daily nonstop flights between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode starting October 16, 2026. This route re-establishes a direct link between the UAE emirate and the southern Indian state of Kerala. Tickets are already available through the airline’s sales outlets. The route will connect Ras Al Khaimah International Airport with Kozhikode International Airport. Air Arabia announced the route’s return on October 6.

Offering another direct connection between the UAE and India, the daily service enhances travel options for passengers. Kozhikode, also called Calicut, is a key city on Kerala’s Malabar Coast. The announcement did not specify departure or arrival times, nor did it mention the aircraft type planned for the flights. Air Arabia has not yet published flight numbers for the October restart, but travelers can check current schedules when booking.
Adel Al Ali, Group CEO of Air Arabia, expressed enthusiasm for the route’s return. He noted that the daily flights would provide a convenient link between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode. The airline highlighted the existing demand for travel between these locations. The announcement focused on the route’s connectivity, frequency, and confirmed restart date, but did not include passenger projections or traffic forecasts. No additional operational adjustments were announced alongside the route’s resumption.
Expanded Ras Al Khaimah network with daily flights
The revitalized Kozhikode route joins several other international services from Ras Al Khaimah. Currently, Air Arabia operates nonstop flights to Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar from the emirate. Kozhikode will rejoin this network from October 16. The airline started flying from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in May 2014, establishing the emirate as one of its key bases in the UAE.
The Kozhikode route was initially launched on November 22, 2023, with three weekly flights scheduled on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. These services used Airbus A320 aircraft under flight numbers G9 728 and G9 729. The new schedule will increase the frequency to daily, although the airline has not confirmed whether the same flight numbers will be used or the exact operating times for the resumed flights.
Tickets now available for October 16 restart
Passengers can purchase tickets through the airline’s website, call center, and travel agencies. These booking options were confirmed with the route announcement. The airline did not specify when the original Kozhikode flights ceased or the reason for the suspension. Starting fares for the resumed flights were not provided, nor were aircraft assignment details. The only confirmed information includes the destination pair, the start date of October 16, and the daily flight schedule.
The route’s resumption restores a nonstop connection between Ras Al Khaimah and Kerala after nearly three years since its initial launch. The service will now operate daily, replacing the previous three-times-weekly schedule, with no intermediate stops. Passengers looking for specific flight times, fares, or flight numbers are advised to check current booking details before traveling. Air Arabia has not announced any further changes to the Kozhikode route beyond the daily restart.
